CAPABILITY

Medical Injection Mold Design & Manufacturing

Medical injection mold manufacturing begins after the part, resin, forecast volume, and acceptance criteria are understood. MedMoldPro develops the tool around cavity strategy, steel selection, gate and runner design, cooling, venting, ejection, expected maintenance, and the molding machine interface. T1 is an engineering checkpoint, not an automatic production approval, and any change after sampling is documented with the customer.

How MedMoldPro Approaches the Work

After DFM approval, the mold design is prepared for review before steel cutting. The quotation should identify steel, cavities, runner concept, ownership, included trials, sample quantity, and change responsibility.

A typical T1 target for suitable projects is about 28–35 working days after 3D mold design approval; actual timing depends on complexity, steel, components, and revisions.

Scope and Responsibility Boundary

Tool life and timing are project-specific and cannot be guaranteed from part size alone. Mold ownership, storage, maintenance, transfer, and export terms must be stated in the quotation, purchase order, or tooling agreement.

Medical Injection Mold Design & Manufacturing: Frequently Asked Questions

When demand, part stability, machine capacity, and cavity-balance risk justify the investment. The decision should not be based on annual volume alone.

Ownership must be defined in the quotation, purchase order, or tooling agreement. Website text does not replace those documents.

Samples and trial observations are reviewed against the agreed criteria. Tool changes, process work, or another trial may be required before approval.

Export can be planned when the destination machine standard, fittings, hot-runner controls, documentation, and shipping responsibilities are defined early.
